Anyone had problems with this?
Started to notice pain in front of my right ear a few weeks ago then that excruciating pain when first eating or drinking something tasty.
Doctor not much help but did prescribe amytrpyline as I had shingles in the summer and where the rash was above the ear was tingling a bit.
The dentist was able to express the gland so unlikely to be a stone.
I didn’t finish the prescription as it made me too tired and the scalp doesn’t bother me any longer.
I’m waiting on a referral to maxillary consultant but it hurts like buggery.
Do I just need to be patient or bother the doc again?

Go and see the doctor again, make sure it’s nothing bigger to worry about.

Back to the dentist this morning.

I spoke to the hospital and they confirmed that I'm on the urgent list and will need to wait at least 6 months but dentist can send a letter to expedite.

Emailed dentist yesterday to request the same and she's asked me to call in for an X-Ray and conversation this morning.

I had a tooth removed right next to the Parotid last year and it's felt a bit infected ever since (and before), hoping she will prescribe some antibiotics to clear things up.

Hurts like a bd just before eating or drinking anything nice and I love eating and drinking nice things.
