Hi all

My elderly relative has conceded she needs one. Googling brings up a plethora of companies and options.

She'll want a bracelet type, any ideas of which company to use? Or are they all much of a muchness?

Used Lifeline24 for FIL - worked perfectly on the multiple times he used it. Call centre extremely professional.

They are only useful as long as the person is willing to use it. Old people generally dont want to make a fuss which can be a problem with these set ups.

Check if your local Council offers this service, it often comes with a mobile team to support who will attend the property to assist your relative if necessary.

My mother bought a retirement flat in 2003 that had a system operated by Careline.

Then another firm took it over, but in reality all they did was call us or 999!

They didn't actually do anything, other than shift the issue to someone else.
