Would anyone be able to point me towards any papers, or preferably reviews discussing long term prognosis / prognostic indicators in patients with extensive bifrontal lobe contusions, specifically traumatic bilateral subdural haematomae with bifrontal contusions blossoming to the vast majority of both frontal lobes, non surgical, no reported raised ICP, evidence of a small CVA on CT. Unfortunately 24h delay to reaching hospital.
The patient, my dad, is a very physically fit (and previously mentally high performing) 65 year old male. We are 2 weeks in, currently M6, V4, E4. I don't know GCS on admit and he was under light GA (propofol CRI) for some time afterwards as agitated...
