Hi,

My wife and I run about 30-35 kms each per week in about 3 hours each.

We have used a York Nexus on and off for about 10 years. More off than on until last 10 months or so. It has 1.5hp motor with 3hp on peak.

The deck cracked about 6 months ago. I replaced it with one from York but it's failed again. Also motor has tripped a couple of times when asked for high speed (15kph+) after an hour of running. I suspect the mat is worn. Mat also slips. World be 200 pounds in parts just to replace mat and board, and motors is still old. Can't find anyone willing to repair or service it.

So what would you recommend? 600 quid ish?

Thanks

Ps please don't recommend running outside. We do this but don't want to have to do it every other rainy winters night.

There was another thread on this a week or so back where I mentioned I’ve just taken delivery of a JTX sprint 7. Very impressed but a tad over your budget. They do a slightly cheaper one which might be worth looking at

Thanks for the reply.

We went to a specialist today. He reconned that it projected usage of 60 to 80 kms per week meant we needed a "light commercial". His cheapest light commercial is 1800.

Any thoughts on this?

With another lockdown have a look at insurance auctions or ebay. Im sure there will be a few gyms selling off comercial equipment.

Not sure how much they are or if you can get a used one but I’ve been using a curve at the gym. So much more of a workout and feel it all over but somehow easier on my knees than a normal treadmill.

Thanks - they do look good. Either 5 or 7 might be suitable and good price. Thanks

No delivery till Jan 25th though...
