Tag Heuer glasses
Discussion
Many moons ago I got my Tag glasses from https://www.pretavoir.co.uk/ . I recently contacted them about re-glazing and they were happy to help (I ended up buying new glasses instead).
I remember reading a few years ago that the company that Tag licensed their name to for glasses went bust, so you can't actually buy them new any more. It's a shame as I find decent "rimless" glasses difficult to find.

Anyone here deal or glaze Tag Heuer glasses? I have a pair and need to go from single vision to varifocals and ideally need a slightly deeper lens shape making
My first and only glasses were varifocals, although I went in for mere cheap readers! TBH I struggled with the first lenses, they were awful, but thankfully for my £500, Vison Express guarantee to redo them for me FOC. I think they guarantee them for 60 days or something?
Others may do likewise, but wearing bad varifocals was so terrible, I just never bothered!
Hoping someone can help me out here, I’ve exhausted all avenues close to home, was particularly disappointed when my jeweller, who can repair just about anything said he couldn’t do it.
My glasses are supposed to look like this.
But thanks to my clumsy mechanic friend, who cannot believe that anyone would pay over £100 for a pair of glasses, they now look like this. To complicate matters they are titanium, which isn’t the easiest of metals to work with.

A couple of options
Some frame manufacturers keep spares in for long periods and you could possibly get a replacement side but brand names often get licensed to different manufacturers on a regular basis.
Depends on how attached you are to the frame but we have managed to repair rimless by finding another frame with the same spacing on the holes drilled in lenses (especially if they are varifocals may be worthwhile).
There are a couple of companies who do titanium repairs Alpha-Omega I think will deal with you directly

Otherwise if they are a total write-off it's worth checking your household insurance

I thought the French company who made these died in 2018. Some frame manufacturers keep spares in for long periods and you could possibly get a replacement side but brand names often get licensed to different manufacturers on a regular basis.

I had a pair which after a drunk work night outing I slept on..... Made the next days effort of guess the word for a days worth of presentations interesting.
Basically even in 2018 it was challenging to get spares and Vision Express interested in fixing.
Shame as the frameless Tags were lovely and nothing in the price bracket has replaced them (clearly you can spend more)
