Had my endocrinologist appointment a few weeks ago and I had stated that from two weeks after injection to about week 6 or 7 I feel ok. Symptoms reduce such as the extreme fatigue, brain fog, sex drive and so forth then from week 7 onwards all the pre treatment symptoms return. Spent the past few weeks feeling drained of energy, no sex drive and other symptoms. Got a letter from endocrinologist saying that they are reducing my injection frequency down to every 9 weeks.

So pre treatment my testosterone level was 3.9. I just had blood tests after 8 weeks from my third Nebido injection and the result came back at 4.7. Way way below where they want it to be. Getting my fourth injection tomorrow.

Has anybody else here on Nebido had issues with it just not raising your testosterone levels to even average range? Endocrinologist did state that I may metabolise testosterone very quickly. I don’t know if weight has anything to do with it. I’m 6ft 2 and pretty well built at just over 18st. I’m not a huge fat 18 stone. More rugby player built. He has mentioned that after another 8 months that if it is still low then try me on sustanon or just reduce the Nebido to every 7 weeks.

How long have you been on it?

I believe it takes a good few months for levels to stabilise.

I started feeling lousy after around 5 weeks, after months of back and forth I finally managed to get my injections down to every 8 weeks which is just about manageable.

The problem now is my RBC is verging on dangerous due to the testosterone.

The worst of it all is that my Doctors are absolutely clueless about it all, they won't even give me.a yearly blood test, just say it's not needed until you're over 40 (despite me pointing out the Nebido website states otherwise) and basically anything they need to know about TRT comes from my research. It's gotten to the point I've just given up asking for any help / support and just go to them for the injection.

I'm worried about the effects of the high RBC and hematocrit but at the same time I don't want to reduce / come off the injections and be back to feeling like st anyway.

Donate blood as often as you can- not only a very worth cause which you should be doing any way, but brings down RBC and hematocrit.

I’m now on my fourth injection so it’s now been just over 9 months on Nebido. My RBC count is normal at the moment. I’ve had three blood tests since being on Nebido. My GP has no clue about it either. It’s the endocrinologist I deal with. The GP just writes the prescription.

PM me if you like.. Ive done all of this and in a nutshell Nebido is pretty much crap in the world of TRT.

Dependend on where you live they push this crap like a junkie sells crack to a addict!! I tried it for 6 months and by the end it had just started to work. I researched a lot into this and ended up going to see a specialist doc in Poole. He also goes further a field now.

When on Nebido I ended up taking it every 6 weeks to try to get a result! and it was still half assed! I now inject myself every 2 days (very small ammount) and it works by keeping your testorsterone levels fairly static.

Nebido is one massive shot - a peak and then all the way down until the next one. Some people also convert high doses of T into Estrogen which also doesnt help!!!

Just need to give blood to keep levels down. I do it every 6 months. NHS wont leave me alone now!

I was given Nebido - I wanted to try something that was easier than having to rub gels onto my skin each morning.

It started off OK, but I now know this is just the residual T levels from Testogel keeping me going.

After 2 weeks I was having daily hot flushes that lasted for 30 minutes at a time. I was also an emotional wreck and burst into tears at the end of Paddington 2.

It really made me realise that hormones are powerful things, and that Nebido is utterly useless.

Guys nebido is a waste of time do yourselves a favour and look up the men’s health clinic, a private clinic in the uk. The NHS don’t have the first clue how to test male hormone deficiencies. Thank me later.
