Are you overweight?

I had a BMI of 30 (nearly obese) and reduced it to 22. I don't snore at all anymore, but I did when I was overweight.

Get your sinuses checked out, a very common cause of snoring is polyps.

Cheers Charlie, just restocked, saved me trawling through to find where I got them from last time!

My sinuses are bksed, have been since I was a kid. Not polyps though, thank fk! I know someone who has them, not pleasant.

Tried three or four different sprays, some better than others, but the latest one gave me a massive cold for a week or two, twice, so I sacked them off & went with the strips.

It was either that or have my passages drilled open.... nope, not happening! hehe

My wife had a bad snoring habit.
She has had some mouth guards made that she sleeps with that push her bottom jaw forward a little. She is in the dental profession so her technician made them for her after doing training for this in Italy
Try asking your dentist if he or she can get them made up for you.
They her worked for her and we are both getting great sleep.

It’s generally more severe in post menopausal women so definitely worth speaking to your GP again, might be worth exploring HRT or a change in HRT.

Why not just try losing 1.5 stones?

Good luck

My wife says that I snore a lot, and that it has gotten worse of late. I am trying an anti-snore pillow (probably won't work) but I know that I need to lose weight, so I am currently trying to do so, but finding it much harder than I have before.

I may try the nasal strips, worth a try I guess.

She says that I do not stop breathing / snoring, but it was something that crossed my mind. I may set up a recording device so that I can see if I am stopping.

These have worked for me:

Feel a bit odd to start with but you soon get used to them.

I understand there are different reasons for snoring, so I guess it's a case of trying a few options until you find the right one for you.

I do as well, but I still snore like a trooper when not drinking.

No booze last night and my snoring was worse.

Has anyone tried using a vapour rub?

Why do your snore strips come off? I wash my face then make sure its dry so the strips stick on really well.
Do you snore when you sleep on your front?

This. When I did ENT, a very large majority of snorers stopped if they lost weight. It's by far the most common cause.

Other causes are things like large tonsils/adenoids, nasal polyps.
