For about 3 months ive had really bad brain fog. It almost feels like a constant slight pressure behind my eyes/cheeks the main symptoms are i cant concentrate for st, i cant take in any new information unless i spend ages processing it and i just feel mega phased out.

Ive also noticed i get a burst blood vessel quite often in my eye and although i can read i struggle to read of a computer screen it seems im quite sensitive to the light it gives off.

Ive had blood work-nothing.

Migraine?

I get worse during winter when fluorescent lights and computer screens appear stronger in the darkness.

Are you under any stress? Do you exercise regularly? Regular sleep?

^^^^This. I was struggling for ages to concentrate and just felt like my head was in a constant fug. I also kept nodding off in the afternoons due to being so tired. I thought it was due to working my arse off but Docs said my Thyroid levels were borderline (following fasting blood tests). Now using Thyroid replacement pills, the lowest dose possible, and it has had a really noticable improvement. Also means you get a prescription cost exemption for life!!

Good luck with getting it sorted

A right pain, I'm sure. It's the Doctor then, he'll do the basic checks but if you're really distressed by this, and it sounds like you are, push for a general blood test and endocrine check (24 hr urine catecholamine).

I've booked in to see my doc next week, been glazing over at work and generally switching off when people have been talking to me. Front of my head has been feeling heavy and fuzzy, I keep drifting away into blank thoughts. I run to work, 6 miles and I go to the gym in the evenings, eat healthy and avoid alcohol and cigs. I thought it was just boredom with having to return to work after 18 months off, I've even thought it could be me missing my old life working overseas. I'll see what the doc says.

as a quick short term solution (considering your job) try some Ginko Baloba, it should increase your brain activity, maybe enough until they find out what is actually wrong, depends what's wrong though. it may well not overcome it.

I'd say hormones as a first check.

I don't want to alarm you too much but I had similiar symptoms of a slight headache and eyesight issues which turned out to be a pituitary tumour,in almost all cases they are benign and can be removed surgically. Mine was diagnosed by the GP sending me to the opthalmology dept at the local hospital who then sent me for an MRI scan.

I had this when I rented a house with mould in it! felt like utter ste for months not knowing what it was. Turned out that it was mould spores. I used to wake up with what felt like I'd had my brain removed, go to work and struggle on. I noticed one day that the walls of the house felt slighlty damp to touch, bought a dehumidified and noticed a difference, with the fog slighly lifting. Only really cleared up when we moved out.

Turned out that a lot of the building was build/bodged in concrete and it wasnt properly waterproof.

This, I had it last year in the mould infested flat I was in - had my face 6 inches away from this when sleeping:

went all behind the bed and everything, when i moved out it cleared right up.

Have been feeling the same as of late though, but may be partly due to job hunting/being bored at work and de-motivated/stressed owing to the liquidation at work.

I have however booked an eye test - computer screens etc. especially as its been a good 12 years since my last (i'm 24) - may be worth getting one booked?
