Is it the finals tonight? Channel 5 schedule only seems to show 3 episodes, the last being tonight.

Pud is a martial artist in his own right though, and I honestly expected him to clean up, what with the combination of his strength, martial arts knowledge, and MMA training.

Clearly not though, and if nothing else, it does serve to prove just how brilliant athletes the top MMA fighters are yes

UK's strongest man is a totally different organisation to the Worlds, This was started by Glenn 'Who's The Daddy' Ross when he fell out with the official organizers of the WSM Dougie Edmunds so set up UK's Strongest Man. To qualify for the WSM you have to do the 'Giants Live' tour and not UKSM

Before Glenn retired he pretty much won every UK's strongest man as all the heats featured stuff that suited himself i.e. static lifts.

However Eddie has great potential and is possibly a future contender for WSM - However at the moment he isn't mature enough or strong enough to even qualify but again a definate future contender.

However as youngsters go Stefán Sölvi Pétursson has a great future as long as he stays injury free.

I must admit i didnt know Pud was doing the MMA scence, but wouldnt think he would be suited to it with his size. Heavyweights carrying significantly less weight would be much quicker to the punch/ kick and much better on the ground. would be interested in seeing any highlights if anyone has any links?

I can't help being more impressed by the power lifters like Andy Bolton. Strict 1200 lb squats etc are just insane. Suits etc not that important. Makes me want to get back to the gym but there are no proper gyms around. (I am tiny, no goatee, no directorship)
