After a belter of a karting crash which resulted in cracked/broken rib, ive been on co-codamol for pain relief.

A side effect appart from not being able to drink lager is that I havent had a good st in a week.

If I do go i feel like im going through child birth and the end product resembles nesquik cereal.

Whats best to take so I can squeeze one out daily with ease?

1) Drink lots of water.
2) Milpar. Ask over the counter from any chemist.

biggrin Only if you take it when you don't have constipation!!

I would check for contraindications before taking it - ask the pharmacist.

Also, add linseeds to your meals. When wet, it secretes linseed oil that coats everything.

Drink LOADS of water - try 3 litres a day, and lots of fibre, mainly fresh fruit and veg. Prunes and mangos are good.
If you're really struggling you can try a laxative such as senna or ex-lax. Or there's always glycerin suppositories to get things moving.

A nice Madras or something hotter the night before should do the trick smile

Thats cruel! Broken ribs and laughing should not be experienced together. However, no broken ribs + the picolax story is a very good way to spend a few minutes laughing (uncontrollably!)

Lactulose is good, available over the counter at chemists. You can take as much of it as you like to get things moving.

I'd think twice about Picolax. Check out the Agent Picolax thread first. wink

Milpar is rarely stocked in many pharmacies these days so you may struggle to find it stocked. Picolax is too extreme and as you are still going to be taking the co-codamol it will not solve the problem, get some lactulose (stocked everywhere even if you have to send the counter staff to the dispensary for it) and wash it down with plenty of water! Gentle relief that you can take daily whilst you take the co-codamol. With picolax you'll probably break another rib clinging onto the toilet laugh

PS Why is Milpar no longer stocked? It was brilliant.

Na, all that does is soften the poo at the rear of the backlog and give you lots of wind!

How did the mathematician cure his constipation?

He worked it out with a pencil.

Why did the baker have smelly hands?

He kneaded a pooh.

I remember when I was on proper prescription co-codamol for a few weeks, it was ACE!! Apart from the constipation..... Plenty of water and actimel yogurts for me, it resulted in a bowel movement every three days or so!!
these are the prescription co-codamols they made me feel monged at first but they dont do anything now.

a short trip to the hospital and hes given me more pain killers to go with them so i should be tripping tomorrow.

I look pregnant almost now though. ive decided to man up and not take any pain killers in the last 6 hours im gonnna drink as much fosters as possible and hopefully this will result in me smashing one out tomorrow.

The ones I was on, the dose was something like a maximum of two tablets four times a day. I found at first I didn't need that many but yeah, after a couple of weeks I was on full dose! It just felt like I was stoned all the time.... At least that's what I'd imagine it felt like....

I pity anyone you live with, that's gonna be one offensive ste!
thats the bad boys im on the now. They are the dugs balls to be honest.

I hope so i keep trying to go and squeeze for ages come out covered in sweat but nothing. I just want to have a ste again!
