Medical science could tell me that napping will make my balls drop off and I would probably still do it. A nap on the sofa is one of life's great pleasures.

Sleep is good for you. Assuming you're getting your needed amount of sleep at night then why not nap? The only issue might be that you're napping cos your lunch is crap so the nap is due to the insulin spike and subsequent fall ie it isn't the nap that's bad for you but the lunch.

As long as you don't do it while crossing your legs, apparently.

AAaaargh there's no insulin 'spike' other than the normal working manner of your pancreas dealing with a sudden sugar hit by releasing insulin. This is what it's supposed to

do.Unless you refer to the release of endorphins when weight training as an 'endorphin spike',or the release of serotonin when running as a 'neurotransmitter spike',

or the release of dopamine after sex as a 'dopamine spike'.Which I know you don't! smile

I meant the increased release of insulin, then. Perhaps spike is the wrong word, but just referring to the effect of eating white bread for lunch and then being unable to stay awake at 3pm. biggrin

Your body is ment to have a power nap in the day.Its only modern day living that stops you having it.Not sure that its good for the body but its great for the mind.It does make you feel better.I some people it can effect your nights sleep.

If I'm knackered during the day, 30 minutes kip can make me feel completely refreshed. Although that has frequently turned into 2-3 hours before hehe
