online contact lense suppliers ?

Thinking of switching back to daily contact lenses rather than the 2 weekly ones I use now, Boots who I have my current plan with are quoting £50pm for Johnson and Johnson 1 day Acuvue TruEye which isover double what I'm paying for 2 weekly ones.

Ive had them for a few days and seem to be getting on with them fine as previous dailies I tried I wanted to rip out my eyes by about 4pm.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy them online or is this price ok. The price does include eye tests and unlimited aftercare but you obviously pay for this somewhere. Just worried some online sites may not be genuine lenses etc so recommendations will be greatly appreciated

I know everyone is different but have you tried CibaVision Dailies AquaComfortPlus? they are a bit more expensive than the normal Aqua comfort ones but are a lot better and are only £22 ppm (30 pairs) from my local optician.

drier than Ghandi's sandals.

Bausch & Lomb SofLens are only 13 quid, but miles better than Daysoft, IMO.

I use 2 week lenses and to be honest, I keep them in a lot longer than 2 weeks and they completely fine. Dailys do seem a lot more money.

I have my leneses in everyday without fail. On aveage 16 hours a day. Play sport, swim in them etc and I don't have any trouble.

If your using dailys you may want to try the weekleys because you may save some money.

I forgot the name of mine (will look it up if interested), but it's a type of lens that "breathes", meaning you can keep it in for a MONTH.
And I do mean KEEP IT IN.
I often wear them five to six weeks, without them going out, it's brilliant.

They only cost me marginally more than regular 1-month lenses.

Do have to say that the OH tried them but couldn't get on with them, so she had to take them out every evening, completely nullifying the point of their existence. It was mostly due to her hay fever iirc.

I've heard that before, sometimes when went out where there are a lot of smokers, I do get them out in the evening, but mostly I'm fine.
I've been using them for about 5y now.

Agreed, I decided to try them one month, purely because of the low price - NEVER again.

I already use 2 weekly lenses and tbh dont think the daily ones are offering me anything extra apart from literally taking them out and falling into bed rather than putting them in a pot ! dosent justify an extra £25pm in my book unless I can get them cheaper hence the post.

I assume as these appear to be new out the cost is going to be higher.

I used to have dd with Vision Express. After using my 2 week lenses longer than I should, I gathered a back log of lenses. (approx 6 months worth)

I saw a thread on here a little while ago stating that it's cheaper to buy leneses online then from say Vision Express. So I have cancelled the dd a few months ago and just using up the back log.

So I will need to buy some soon from the net so I'll remember these sites for future reference.

The main problem I've had is that in my sleep I'd paw at my eyes until one of them fell out. They're rather less effective at correcting my vision when they're stuck to my cheek...

Having them in for a month sounds pretty decent, will have to check them out when I to buy some more.

TBH the thought of something in my eye for a month without cleaning scares the life out of me, I asked about these once and was told that they only really prescribed them for people who work shifts and maybe sleep then work ie firemen etc.

That's bs, our local optician recommends them all the time to people who can't be arsed to take them out every evening.

Like I said, extra cost is pretty minimal (I think I pay about £60/half year, which works out at £10/month), and you can still get them out every evening/other evening if you feel like it...
