Protein supplement
Discussion
I've just come off reflex and gone to myprotein. Ordered Tuesday night arrived Thursday morning, I cannot rate their service highly enough.
I've gone with their true whey in choc orange with is awesome in taste, think it was £22 for 2.2kg. I know reflex is very good but I'm sure I was paying £40 a tub for peptide fusion pro and it tasted like s
t!

MyProtein and Bulksupplements are both awesome although I mainly use MyProtein because their service, price and quality is hard to beat!I've gone with their true whey in choc orange with is awesome in taste, think it was £22 for 2.2kg. Personally, I've been mostly avoiding supplements of late and instead favouring foods. Eggs are the best form of protein out there by a country mile and I've been using them more than protein powder.
Thanks for the replies guys! Didn't really think of my protein. Is there any real difference between the products that justifies such a difference in price?
OC - I'm looking at getting at some protein powder just to top up the daily intake and also for convenience as you can just chuck it in a mixer with water/milk. I'm working on my diet at the moment but, finding it gets quite expensive buying lots of meat, eggs...etc (get moaned at by the folks for eating a house and home). I find it also deters me from eating chocolate, crisps and things like that too which is quite good. What does your diet consist of just to help as a guideline?
Cheers

Frozen chicken is good - buy a large supply of it, cook (Properly) enough for a week and freeze it. Microwaves in ~5 minutes, tastes good and gives you lean protein - simple.
I recently started adding nuts into my daily diet due to them being cheap, easy to eat on the go, containing protein and calorie dense.
Whey powder wise I like PHD products but it's more a purchase of habit than anything else since I like the Vanilla Cream taste - seems to work well enough; I buy it for ~£30 from Amazon.

My diet is all laid out in my thread buddy, 'Lee's challenege part 2'OC - I'm looking at getting at some protein powder just to top up the daily intake and also for convenience as you can just chuck it in a mixer with water/milk. Truly there is very little difference between most supplements and the vast majority are sourced from a few suppliers. Some market them as having special ingredients but unless you're sure how much of that active ingredient each server contains don't bother and especially don't both with those with proprietary blends where they don't tell you how much of each ingredient they are using.

Lets just say no professionals or good competing amateur bodybuilder I know use these expensive supplements that offer the world. Most just go with the basic supplement where they know what they are getting and about 40% of the price.
Just did exactly the same as above and moved from Reflex Instant Whey to MyProtein True Whey. It really is pretty good, with all the good stuff that's present in Instant Whey (e.g. Digezyme) for a much cheaper price! Tastes much better than it was before I switched to Reflex, too.
With regards to food, I have a six egg omelette for breakfast everyday, 18 eggs from Sainsbury's are about £1.80. Other good sources of protein are chicken breast, turkey sausages (I find the breasts are too dry unless you put them in a curry or something), tuna, nuts, oats, mackerel, salmon, beans and pulses.
If you do order from MyProtein you can get 5% by using this code MP61007

Thanks mate! I've read through that thread and it's a really good read, do you have the part 1 by any chance? You have made some decent gains! When buying from the My protein website how do you get a 30% discount? I've tried the codes but, it only knocks off about 5% :S
Cheers
