Never tried tbh.

Always lift what I can in 3 x 10rep sets. Would doing one mental rep do anything except kill you?

Incline leg press max was 720kg about 8 years ago- suspect about 2/3 of that now- still have 32" thighs and 24" calfs though so might not be a million miles off.

I've never really tried for the bench, iirc last time I tried was about 90kg ... but as I said, never really trained for that.

And today my max will be next to nothing. Did a very different workout with a colleague on Friday, and my left shoulder is still suffering.

I think (as a smaller bodied but plainly powerfully built PHer) that the question is better addressed by way of reference to your bodyweight.

For example, I could bench about 120% of my bodyweight - many moons ago when I trained (but it didn't half hurt my shoulders).

I'm currently working on improving my bench - today is my attempt to do 95kg for the first time, then three weeks away from now I'm trying 100kg.

I weigh 76kg, and up until today my 1RM was 90kg (full rep, touching the chest).

Squat and Deadlift are both 150kg, because that's all the weight I have, and I can't afford to get more at the moment.

ETA: When I lifted in a gym, my leg press was 420kg for 3 reps. Loved quoting that at people, though it's hardly reflected in other lifts or real world strength.

I could lay you out in one uppercut? tongue out

37yo only 74Kg but can 1RM 110Kg (incl bar) bench press and leg press 190Kg. It's all I've ever benchmarked on. Benchmarking isn't safe and given I tend to be the PT, than the other way around, I don't do it often.

Did set a new pb for 12 rep lat pulldowns and DB bench press. Another topic to follow on that later...

Never 1RM unless you have a spotter and you should have 5 mins rest before attempts for motor-unit reset for the most accurate results.

edit: oops.

I do 130kg bench for 4 reps so not really sure what my one rep max would be, never tried to be honest.

I mean both hands at the same time. Not one-handed pull ups. Besides, you want to be the opposite of Arnie ie light!

Well I smashed my personal best today, and chuffed to pieces too.

Bench press 125kg x 3 so how ever that works out as a 1 rep max!

Wow.

I'm weak.

I did 60kg bench press today (6 reps) that was within a couple of minutes of doing a 6 minute mile on the treadmill though, so was puffing and panting whilst putting the weights on the bar!

Maybe rattle out a 70kg one off? Who knows? Will have a go.
