Fat kids - Parents to blame?

I watched this some time ago before it was edited on LiveLeak. I'd say 100% down to appalling parenting skills.

I agree it's the Parents fault.
Incapable of even washing himself.
The parents are the ones buying the food
even buying Pizza and Junk food.

The excuse of "he is my baby" is quite incredible.

Unless the child has a medical condition then it's absolutely ALWAYS the parents who are to blame. I'd go as far as calling it child neglect.

What sort of life are folk setting their kids up for doing that to them?

Also, if you are fat and a fully fledged adult, then yes youve guessed it. Its your fault aswell tubby.

I don't care if someone is fat, that is their choice like smokers choosing to be unhealthy.

What makes me angry is fat people making excuses about being fat.

'I don't have time to train (but I do have time to surf the net, watch tv etc)'
'I don't want some bizarre diet (so I eat fast food instead)'
'It gets so much harder as you get older (actually it doesn't, you've just got lazy)'

And the list goes on....

Indded but it's a decision an adult can make. Fat children is child neglect or abuse.

As grandparents are known to do, they wanted to ply our 2 little ones with chocs, etc.
When I quite firmly said no, I was told I'm cruel.

By not letting my kids get addicted to sweets, chocs and sugar, and keeping them from obesity, I'm somehow cruel.

It's this mentality that results in children's obesity. Yes, the parents are to blame.

I'd make a vague guess that Mum has some sort of catastrophic intellectual or emotional problem, to have a kid end up like that... the kid himself almost certainly has Prader-Willi Syndrome but normally in developed countries it's diagnosed in early childhood and controlled with strict diet etc. - obviously depends completely on the parent being functional enough though.

Sickening but also really really sad. He's doomed.

When I come to power, I'll be pushing through a parental licensing bill. People found to be breeding without proving they have the skills or intelligence to be so, will be culled.

Depending if we agree on the culling of chavs, people over 50 to have to take driving retests and a reduction in fuel tax I may vote for you.

It's very sad. If you see an overweight child - you can look upon the parents with disgust.

I hate seeing an overweight mother and/or father leading their fat little cherub through life, teaching them the all the wrongs of their way without adding any learnedness.

Sometimes you've got to wonder whether the parents do it deliberately to make themselves feel better about themselves. A sort of strength in (BMI) numbers if you like.

Joking aside - it's abuse, pure and simple.
