Allergic to Camembert ?

Have just had an horrendous night thinking I was coming down with flu.

I think I may be allergic to Camembert.
I know in the last few years I have become allergic to penicillin, same symptoms, dizzy and flu like.

Anyone else in PH land have trouble with this cheese or am I just weird? (I am pre-empting the answers.)

Be sure you know the difference between "intolerant" and "allergic" ...

One is an autoimmune response (sometimes life threatening), the other is that the thing "disagrees with you".

Still a little confused as to what label I need, but one thing for sure is that I can't have Penicillin as it makes me very ill, and I can't eat Camembert as it too makes me very ill. It seems to get progressively worse each time I have either. Therefore no matter what I call it, they definitely are not for me! Thank you very much for your help though, much appreciated. My advice would be to request allergy testing from your GP especially to check penicillin. It is a very useful drug and I was told that only 1 in 10 people who think they are allergic actually are. It is very frustrating to have to use sub optimal treatment in the case of an unverified allergy.
