The Garmin app for their smartwatch/fitness watches.

Very good and highly recommended!

I've had a Fenix 5 as my first one, but seeing as though I lumber around kettlebells I opted for the Instinct 2 Tactical - a little more robust and less fancy!

Thanks - I'm sick of Argus and MyFitnessPal isn't any better but I've got an Apple Watch so Garmin wouldn't work!

Yesterday, short ride in the mid day sun, as you do in 34c, found a quite horrid little climb near where we were staying, only about 5 or 6km long but with gradients of up to 22%, not going back there anytime soon!

Today was a much longer full blown alpine climb that I have done a zillion times so just enjoyed the amazing vistas and meadows full of poppies, wonderful.

Broke my training 'fast' today, had a crap few weeks myself followed by another few coming to terms with, basically, myself, then Mrs taken unexpectedly and rather seriously ill...on the mend now thankfully.

Came along this morning without a clue what to do, hoping the gym would make its own suggestions, so...

Squat, up to 160kg comfy, dropped to...

60kg, two sets of twenty reps supersetted with machine slow Shrugs 40kg per side x 15.

Incline dumbell superset (press followed by fly, 10 reps each)

15kg, 17.5kg, 20, 22.5, 25. Bit toasted now.

10x10 Deadlifts last night. 100kg, 90 sec max rest between sets.
4x5-10 Snatch-grip high-pulls
Then some core/arms/forearms work.

This after a 2-hr gentle (10k) walk through the countryside earlier.

Today I ache!

Back from travels so yesterday was a fairly chilled hilly hour on the bike 33kph avg legs feeling the benefit of some proper quality efforts in the Alps as expected, then 40 minutes of pull ups press ups and L sits in a baking hot garden, finishing the day with a 1km sunset swim in the bay, all in all pleased

You've got a pullup bar in your garden?

Very cheap and easy to install, just need a garden with a brick wall somewhere.

Quite the talking point on BBQs, everyone wants to have a go after a few beers!

I hope your liability insurance is up to date. Friends are only friends until "Why didn't you warn me I wouldn't be able to drive to work/do my job.." etc etc

Simple workout this morning, no 'circuit' just deadlifts.

140kg x 12 reps, 4 sets. That got my attention.

Will get some upper body and my usual wee circuit tomorrow and Friday.

I'm about 2.5 stone (15kg) over my peak weight and trying now to turn it around. I started training this week. I have a background in both Powerlifting and also Triathlon (two very different sports).

I'm pretty shocked how tired and sleepy the training is making me. Yesterday, I did a solid 45 minute weight session starting with trap bar deadlifts, and then other "pull" movements. Was exhausted all day afterwards. In the evening I did a 3 mile walk - I've started walking every night after dinner to break the snacking habit.

Today, I did an early morning turbo training ride. It was 60 minutes very easy, zone 2 leg spin. But again after was very tired.

Could be the weather adding to it and also maybe a reduction in caffeine intake.
