What training are you doing/have you done today? (Vol.3)
Discussion
Training is going well at the moment, lifted foot off the gas slightly over Christmas due to being away to collect my new steed. I've eaten and rested in equal measure, so now ready to push on. Currently sat at just about 13 stone still, if I'm honest I'm getting a bit tired of constantly eating. Will have to make a decision in the new year as to which direction I wish to go - fat and strong, or lean and fit.
Anyway enough about me, new car below. Mid life crisis fully engaged.

Nice, don't blame you! My toy is rear wheel drive and no driver aids at all, so I haven't used it at all over the Xmas period, like I usually do Anyway enough about me, new car below. Mid life crisis fully engaged.
As for the training/diet choice, I try to choose something in the middle of that - strong and half decent looking... lol
I have had a whole week off for the first time since last year, and parts of me still ache very slightly!
I believe my 18" deadlift is around the same as my floor deadlift now.
However, I think I may be wheat intolerant as that's been in my diet over Christmas and for now whilst I'm staying at a relatives and today's session well erm.... Nearly brown trouser moment
That could've been embarrassing.
Pulled 290 18" https://youtu.be/PgKhY9pU7OI
Next was 310 but the above stopped me so called it.
I'm looking at around 40kg I need to find for May now which may just be doable considering I neglect 18" completely.

Today>
Bench, feet up: 140kg x 8, 100kg x 20
DB Fly s/s cable fly: 3 sets to failure
Smith shoulder press: 80kg rest pause failure
Tri push down: over hand/underhand/rope tri set set x 3 to failure
DB side an rear delts: 2 sets failure
done.
The inability to use my legs makes some upper body stuff surprisingly harder! I can walk without crutches now, albeit with a limp. pain is manageable, apart from rotation of the leg, which kills me. No swelling or bruising, seem to be rapidly improving mobility and pain wise- so happy enough. I think a few more weeks and i'll be able to start pushing them a bit......
Perhaps time to call it a day on very heavy stuff- well, squats and deads anyway. They've taken a heavy toll on me this year..... My current focus will be reps/pump- supersets, tri sets and giant sets with moderate weight. I'm certainly not going to start training light
I think I can sculpt a pretty decent physique this year, with an aim to compete in body building next year. Going to cut for a little, before growing again.
