Can anyone recommend a good book?

If you fancy some old-school "spy", then the original James Bond books are worth a read.
I was given the full box set for my birthday last year and, as well as being (in the most part) pretty exciting books, its fascinating to see how the character develops and how Fleming's writing style improves through the series.

Driven Man: David Richards Prodrive and the race to win
Bought it for a quid and most of the way through & quite enjoying it.
I read Prof. Sid Watkins book not so long ago. Fantastic. Very poignant section about Senna in there who pretty much died in his arms, but also some great anecdotes, particularly one about when he was campaigning for a safety car to do the first lap. An over enthusiastic saloon car racer from Italy started at the back of the grid of a club race with the Prof and the story goes that the guy had overtaken half the field by the first corner and was leading by the end of the first lap!!Bought it for a quid and most of the way through & quite enjoying it.
Great read.

Apart from the threat of fire and brimstone, the occasional ear cutting, execution and near killing of a boy, there probably won't be much to satisfy your blood lust. There were no AK-47s mentioned in the Bible.
but there was slavery, rape, child abuse, genocide and other nasty things. RemainAllHoof said:
