I am an Ice Skating God!

At least I was down on the south bank by the Eye. Helped by having my 4 year old boy as ballast on one of those steadying plastic seal things that kids use to learn to skate.
Was the fastest out there and got into a race with another dad and kid. I took him into the corner drifting and accelerating at the same time, ice showers coming off my blades and stinging the spectators.
2nd corner and I executed the same move but my boy was pulled off his perch by the huge centrifugal forces involved and was sent slithering along the ice. He should have held on but I picked him up and he said "Faster Daddy!"
The race was back on and won.

The last time I went ice skating was about ten years ago. I took the 19-year-old student nurse I was seeing to at the time to the rink in Oxford.
I was proper brilliant, just like that Duncan Norvelle and Christopher Reeve, with the Bolero and everything.
The silly tart slipped over and broke her wrist. We ended up spending hours in the John Radcliffe.
Still got a shag though.
