Oh well the friendliness lasted for three hours then kick off.

Fecked off and I mean really.

Tried playing games but somehow turned into a huge argement. Note not me I sat there polishing off best part of two reds
however next it appeared attack on me. One broher isn't well off in fact min wage and frankly there is nothing to suggest otherwise. Oh well attack came onto me money money etc splashing the cash trying to make up for other areas you don't deliver inthe family stakes in. At which point I was sick and tired of the tosh. So I thought deck it I'm giving this nipper a proper put down - maybe too much booze but I laid into him properly nailing hone truths and with hindsight wish I'd held back. Inlaws stepped in going from the angle what the he'll so you think your doing to our son etc I didn't stop.

Result I was supposed to be staying the night there instead the father in law drove me home leaving my wife there inthe house with them.

Happy ferking Xmas.
Scotch out now and to fk the lot of them. Idiots and standing by their son regardless of ineptness sod them I'm going to have a cracking night at home loads of booze and food and PORN

anyone had any worse? I'm thinking I'm not welcome there until I appologise but I'm not going to do that see where the wifes loyalties really sit.

Wish my mates were here to get pissed with me though or mum and dad.

Why did your wife stay?

Frankly I think you are right to fight back if someone starts on you for no good reason. Though it could have perhaps waited until next week......

Not had any worse, at least not this year.

Last one was pretty bad- too much booze and it kicked off big time, had to restrain someone- not good.
Spoiled the mood, was a real stter.

Probably not the best advice but just drink through it. It will seem like a great idea now but in the morning you may not wish to thank me.

Yes, she's obviously (assuming the story here is accurate) siding with the family. Hate it when families are blind to their childrens failings just because they're part of the family.

Judging by the drunken nature of the post I think this could be debatable.

Starting a physical fight is a big jump from an argument in any situation, never mind with the bloody family.

Edit: think I misunderstood 'laying into him' biggrin

Have another drink, watch some porn and knock one out.

Won't make you feel any better, but with the amount you've drunk it will take you an age to ### and at least your right arm won't have any strength left to knock the fker out tomorrow.

+1

Solidarity and all that..unless you were off the mark and she thinks you're a tt. In which case the decree nisi will be coming your way shortly.

Edited to add:

Actually, Christmas arguments are practically unavoidable. I fecking hate Christmas.

We managed to go the entire afternoon without argueing.....
Not bad considering it normally only takes 5 mins before a row has started.
Drink plenty mate & feck the lot of them. Such a shame your wife didn't support you & follow you home!

My MIL has behaved like an absolute child, created a truly stty atmosphere and ruined what had started off as a lovely day with the kids.

What really pains me is the fact that the kids had to sit in the car for three hours to see her - then she behaves like a moron. I'm so pissed off - should have gone to my folks (even according to my wife)
That was the last chance - never coming for Christmas again.
