Well, i don't know where this should really go, as it's generally a 'health matter' in a way.

When you are say 30 years old, what would be the age of the youngest girl you would date and possible marry ?
Same again if you are 40, and then 50,
For example, is 30 to old to date a 20 year old girl ?
For example, is 40 to old to date a 30 year old girl ?
For example, is 50 to old to date a 30 year old girl ?
Sensible please, thats why I did not really put it in general Gas.

Thought the rule of thumb is half your age plus 7 years to give the age of the youngest you should go out with.

i.e a 40 year old could go out with someone who is no younger than 27.

When I was forty I went out with a twenty year old for a year or so. Great fun for both of us. She got the experience, maturity and (comparative) wealth of someone who's gotten past the 'setting up' stage in life and I had the joy of someone young and exciting - we both had fun and learned a lot.
It was never going to last though. I felt she was missing out on all the night life and stuff I can't be arsed with anymore - she was happy to stay in and watch telly or pop down the local when she should've been out on the town. In the end I had to push her away as much for her own good.
We're still good friends and may even get together again one day, but she's grateful we broke up when we did. She's touring Australia at the moment. I'm not sure she'd have done that before.

I think a bigger gap is permissable as you get older so a 50 y/o could date a 30 y/o OK and a 60 y/o could date a 35 y/o without too much of a problem. I think the younger you are, the closer the ages need to be so a 30 y/o dating 20 y/0 is pushing it but a 25 y/o would be fine.

To date an 18 y/o female you need to be about 19/20 or be very very rich...............

I am 29 and was going out with a 21yr old up until two weeks ago when we broke up, was going out with her for 6 months since she was 20.

As expected ultimately we broke up as we were in different stages of our lives, I am working and she is a student and this makes things difficult and puts extra pressures on us......plus it was long distance for last two months.

Sex was amazing though.

I'm 28 and my typical dating ranges are 18-21. Most of the girls I've seen over the past 8 months have been 18/19.

They don't really work as relationships as you don't get a good conversation, but they have great bodies (before people let themselves go!), and yeah...basically they look fit and I'm happy with that.

My ex is 23 - we had much better conversations, and she's one of the rare girls who hasn't put on 2 stone through going out and drinking all the time. Still a size 8 and gorgeous smile

I am 20 and the GF is 17. Get some stick at work for it but at the end of the day I don't think age matters, you may be at different stages of life and so the relationship is not compatible but I do not think two people can be wrong for eachother because of age.

I have to agree with the great body bit! start young (not TOO young!) so you have even longer with no wrinkles!

So you are saying that girls let themselves go after 21...hehe you are a very brave man and lucky to be posting on a 'mainly' blokey forum.....

I think most of the women on here just ignore such ignorant comments now - they know that's it's pefectly possible to have a size 8 gorgeous body, together with the wealth and experience that comes with an age greater than 21 to go with it. smile. Such comments just make it easier for them to spot the men they should stay clear of. wink

Haha, not everyone....but society tells women that "curvey" is natural and healthy now, so women don't feel bad about getting a bit chubby.

In reality, most curviness is due to:

- not exercising enough
- eating a high carb diet with alcohol on weekends

Like most people do.

In Uni, girls would start off at 8st and by the end, many were a chubby 10st. It's just laziness lol. I work out 1-2hrs a day and eat a healthy diet. If I can do it, anyone can lol!

My mother was 25 when I was born, father was 50. The age difference didn't bother them.

You vapid cheb end.

Also, it's easy to post on a forum without using 'lol' at the end of each sentence. If I can do it, anyone can.

Had an 8.5 year relationship with someone 5 years older then me - I was 26 when we met and 34 when we split up last March. I've since dated women between 12 years younger and three years older than me. I don't care too much for a person's age as long as I fancy them and we get on... and, of course, if they're a lot younger than me that I'm not breaking the law hehe

on the flip side...

im 24 and my missus is 26 this year (not a huge age gap) but she is older than me... seems a little odd as there arent many relationships this way round.. but we are engaged and happy which is all good.

bigger age gaps do work too though.. im just not sure about the larger ones (60yr old and 25yr old) that kind of freaks me out a little..!

I swear - at that age most young women have the same libido as blokes.

Excellent.
