I'm not, before anyone asks, nor am I homophobic. I do however, wonder the following about 'gay' men in particular (genuinely wonder, not a piss-take):
1. Why do they feel the need to have 'gay pride' marches? I think being heterosexual is bloody great, but I can't imagine wanting to march and shout about it.
2. Why do they seem to enjoy 'liaisons' in public toilets? Particularly in grim and smelly public toilets. Is it more sexy to be seedy in the 'gay' world?
Genuinely interested.

When were you or anyone you know beaten up, by people you don't know, just for being heterosexual? That's right. Never.
I don't get gay "pride", but I do recognise that The Gay Community (a notion which makes me larf, really; it conjures images of Gay Coffee Mornings, Gay Jumble Sales and Gay Whist Drives) has and does experience real, violent prejudice every day - but it's receding, and not before time. Is that down to Gay Pride? I dunno. I'm not a gay or a gay-hater.
Being in a minority changes the rules a bit. Being white and male in the UK is like being a company that has a monopoly; you've got most of the market, but you're not allowed by law to abuse your monopoly to gain advantage.
Really. Being employed, white, male and middle-class (ish) in the UK right now is a position I don't think I'd want to trade with 99.9% of the world's population - and I don't even earn all that much.

I would hazard a guess that a guy heterosexually checking out someones girlfriend in a bar is one of the top ten causes of bar brawls ranked just after looking at someone funny and knocking their drink.

Its the fact its his OH, not that fact your a hetrosexual.Heterosexuality is the norm, homosexuality is often regarded as wrong/ unnatural, hence why the afflicted will get together and march to show everyone that actually wearing tight shorts, mincing around and kissing men with beards are wholesome and natural activities.
