there is a point to this thread... once you bite it it keeps happening, how do you get out of this pattern ?

Not quite sure how you get your head all the way down there in the first place. Or why you'd want to.

Its only when you end up with a massive ulcer and its very sore that you realise it is a bad idea.

I tend to bite mine when stressed or under pressure. Solution is to chill out.

Easy, wait till a brusque Sarf Efriken dentist goes "that looks a bit like cancer mate". I stopped that very afternoon and haven't chewed the inside of my mouth since...

Ah yes, the pain and the feeling that it was a really stupid thing to do and you want to punch something.

Oohh I've got one for this.

About 2 months ago I bit the inside of my cheek whilst eating a burger. Hurt a bit but not too bad.

Then I could feel that little bit of skin flapping around where I'd bitten it and it was really irritating me.

So I decided to grab hold of it with my fingers and pull it off.

Did that ok, but it left another little bit of skin hanging loose in my mouth. So I pulled that out as well.

Which left another litle bit.

Repeat for the next 30 mins or so until I had effectively pulled all the top layer of skin off from the inside of my right cheek.

The pain was what finally stopped me.

Gotta say, drinking coke was sore, but not as sore as eating hot food the next day.

Took several days for a thin layer of skin to reform, and about 2 weeks for the slight infection and pain to subside.

I have learned a lesson... leave the little bits of skin resulting from biting your cheek well alone!!!

Nature really fecked it up by letting us do that didn't it... It's such a minor injury but it hurts out of all proportion!

tricky, after you've munched the inside of your cheek, buy a pack or two of
extra strong mints, put one inbetween your teeth and the sore, swollen part.
keep doing this for a good part of the day.
this will stop you re-biting the swollen part, because the mint separates the teeth and swollen part. allowing the swelling to go down.

medical cures have never tasted so good
HTH

Oh yeah, stop shouting, i've got a headache

It's a sign of nerves. One of my friends just picks the skin around her fingernails. She kindly left a whole new human sitting on the passenger seat of my car when she got out.

Pow!

i hate it , normally happens when eating , it then swells and you just keep biting it until you eventually make another hole in your face
