Discussion
I'm pretty new to eBay so help would be appreciated. I recently sold something too big and heavy for posting, so I agreed cash on collection with the winning bidder, who is now ignoring me completely. What can I do? Can I contact the next highest bidder and offer it to them? I imagine that would be the easiest way.
You can open a non paying dispute with them, which will find you getting your listing costs back (I think)
You can also second chance offer- which is where you offer it to the second highest, as long as you have left it long enough for the other one to stop ignoring you.
How long has it been? and what is the winners feedback like?

Happens all the time.
The best thing to do in an ideal world would be to hunt them down and kill them.
Failing that you can either relist it and claim your fees back by opening a non-payment dispute, or offer it to the next highest bidder. AFAIK you only get charged once if you sell to the next bidder and not the original winner.

Sorry to bring this back up.
I've offered a second chance to the next highest bidder, to no avail. I've opened a non-paying dispute with eBay regarding the original winning bidder, and I've yet to hear anything back about that. I've also emailed eBay about crediting the original selling fee, and they've yet to get back to me. I've relisted the item to sell it again, but if nobody gets back to me about these issues, how can I go about getting the original selling fee credited?
You can count the times I've used eBay on one hand, and I very much doubt I'll use it again, pile of w
k. Thanks for any help
