So I get to the hole in the wall at Tescos last night and there's a bloke already using it - no problem, I patiently wait my turn, but as he walks away and I step forward he suddenly says "Oh I forgot my money!" and sure enough £200 (?) pops out in front of me.
Now, being a honest type, if he hadn't done so I would have called him back but my question is "what would you do if you got to a cash dispenser with no-one in site and a load of dosh just sitting there?" and hypothetically, would your answer be the same if they didn't have cameras in them, so there wouldn't be any 'evidence' against you?

PS. Yes before anybody asks, he was bigger than me, but I like to think this is irrelevant.

Yes done it before. always call them back. If you mug them afterwards that's personal choice but I advise against it.

Mind you didnt stop someone taking my card and draining my account when I left it in a machine, not sure about karma....

It happened to me when i was 14, found 50 quid in the wall, which was awsome. Took some effort to stop my friends with me at the time spending it on my behalf. Got home told mother, she handed it in at the bank the next day, and the person claimed it back. What pleased me most was i asked people nearby the machine if it was their money, and rather then lying saying it was, they told the truth, which was nice.

Im not religious by any means, but i do believe in a form of karma, do good and itll come back round to you later. Probably how ive managed not to get any points so far biggrin

I'd say it was a sort of financial Darwinism. If he goes to a cashpoint to get cash, and then walks off without it, then he's fair prey to a species better adapted to the environment biggrin

It happened to me once, the person in front of me finished with the machine and walked off leaving about £100 in the machine, I chased after him and gave it to him.

I remember a few people at uni saying this.

With the accompanying tale that if you withdrew say £250 removed a few notes carefully and then waited, the machine would suck it back in, and credit your account with £250 leaving you a few notes up.

Yep, happened to me once too, some lady with kids was struggling with them and putting her card back in and away she went. I shouted after her that she may want to take the cash.......She was most grateful...

I saw some young girls call someone back as they had forgotten to take the cash, If I had done that would give the person at least a tenner for their honesty

Wow, your so witty & original Gregory. You should quit working as a toilet attendant and do stand up. I mean, what a waste of natural humour for it not to be employed in comedy. Tell me, how do you know I'm ugly if you've never even seen a picture of me? I know you haven't seen a photo of me as for some deluded reason you think I'm ginger. Or perhaps you think reeling out tired old in-jokes will make people think your funny & in with the lads?

If you feel that you need to try and insult or piss people off because of your insecurities try doing it in person to some random stranger you've never met as this is the same thing. To me your just some silly little boy crying out for attention on the internet and it makes you look like a idiot.

Please don't quote me like you know me it's embarrassing.

Mexico.

I'd never take the money as it will come from the account holder rather than the bank.

If it were coming from the bank I might think differently...
