OK, OK. Let me clear the air about any doubt as to the authenticity of the video of my brother, Ben getting shot by a 9mm. First off, yes it is real and yes, it wasn't very smart. Everyone had been out at the ranch all afternoon playing around with the vest and shooting each other with .22 shots to the back with no harm. It stung a little, but nothing spectacular. Ben said he wanted to try the 9mm to the breast plate and no body objected. As long as it was a clean shot, all should go well. Anyways, the bullet just barely got the breast plate, luckily and pinched the hell outta the skin. No massive amount of blood loss, no movie type splatter, and no "knocking him on his a$$" like I have seen so many people say SHOULD have happened. The reason you don't see "smoke" coming from the barrel is because that hasn't been a problem since the smokless powder and enclosed cartridge design. If you SLOW the video you can see the slide go back. No, you won't see a casing eject cause it happend fast...that's how guns work. It was filmed using a 3megapixle phone camera, so the sound and vid quality isn't all that great...next time we will use a sony handycam. JK. Also, no, there were no blood packets or Hollywood EFX wired to some type of trigger or whatever...we are good ol' boys and don't even have access to stuff like that. where the hell would you get that stuff and who knows how to use it...anyways, I hope this clears the air..I have seen this vid posted and re-posted so many times that alot of the story gets distorted and lost. As things do on the internet(s). A little jab at our hometown boy, Bush, there. No, we are not retarded hicks and yes we practice copious amounts of gun safety. Everything did exactly what it was supposed to do, there was NO vest failure. It hurt, as you can hear, and the blood trickle is what happens...don't believe me, then suit up and try it yourself. Ben is doing fine....he was taken to the hospital and the Travis County Sherrifs Dept. report lists no charges were filed and it went down as drunken good ol' boy debauchery. So, there you have it....stay tuned for another installment of us on the ranch doing something crazy and hoping it all goes well. Take care, Y'all. ~Scott.

Are you from Texas, I love Texas. Is it true they put magic mushrooms in the water? You make me think it is.

Yes, but did he get up after and tear open his shirt, rip the buttons off, to look at the place the bullet struck?

They ALWAYS do that in the movies, without fail! yes You know it's true.

Why has this thread taken over the subject, when the other thread was posted earlier and the OP's post was posted to that thread earlier?

Possibly NSFW - when I saw the same clip yesterday, there were porn pictures at the bottom of the page you are taken to.

Well I think that's great. America is supposed to be the land of the free, right? If they want to go around shooting themselves then good on 'em, that's what I say...

What is it now? 53 gunshot murders in the USA within the last two weeks... Well done.
