Hotel TV in the UK
Discussion
Why is hotel TV in the UK so awful?
I'll give you an example. I was staying in the Marriot in Leeds - a fairly plush place - on business last night and had 5 terrestrial channels plus sky sports 2&3, CNN and a german channel. Oh, and the usual 5 channels of "Pay as You Go" movies.
Considering I can get a great selection for free at home with freeview, Freesat has a similar selection, and obviously you get the huge selection with SKY, Why can't a hotel supply me with what I get at home?
I know I should be less of a loser and get out and investigate the fine city of Leeds, but after 50 visits you just want to stay in.

I see. So you are made so desperate by the fuzzy crap on offer you give in and pay £7.00 to watch Madagascar II, or some soapy soft blue movie.
It's the randomness that gets me too. A bit of Sky Sports, but no Sky 1. No E4, but ITV2 etc etc.

Every Hotel in the Uk i have stayed in has been the same. Even hopsital are like it FFS.
Why can't the just pipe freeview into every room? People will be happy with that, plus it doesn't cost the hotels any subscription charges for every room.

How about 2 english language channels, either CNN or BBC World, the rest in German. €24 a day wireless...
Thank god for beer, or life would be very dull in the evenings.
Better yet,Thank god for beer, or life would be very dull in the evenings.
Vodafone pay and go
£40 for the dongle
£15 per GB, you top up with £15 and you get 1gb of data, this doesnt expire, so its excellent for light users that use it infrequently.
