Discussion
Hi all (moderators please show some leniency when considering to move this post, would be better read here in "The Lounge".
A very dear friend of mine has recently lost her daughter to SMA (Spinal Musuclar Astrophy), currently this countries biggest killer of children under 4.
Please visit www.jtsma.org.uk for further in depth information.
This organisation proved an invaluable aid in providing them with support & quality of life through their daughters 1 year of life.
If you could spare £1 or anything that you feel is appropriate please contact:-

My friend Siobhan is trying to raise as much money as humanly possible, and has no knowledge of my post here on Pistonheads.
Just trying to help anonomously to what I believe to be one of the most underated and understated charities this county might lose.
Thanks for eveyones patience, and thanks for reading.

This is precisely the type of thread that needs a wide audience. No wonder the OP began with a plea to keep it in The Lounge (he is, of course, hoping that The Lounge will attract at least some of the old P&P regulars).
There is grave danger that threads like this could get hived off to some obsure corner of PH. Perhaps we should have a "Charitable Donations" forum too?

Thanks for your comments, perhaps we do need a wider audience, and we definately need the kind of positivity you have exercised. If I never post another thread, this will be worth it if it pays off. There is grave danger that threads like this could get hived off to some obsure corner of PH.
