Postage Dilemma

i have someone that wants to do a deal on an item i have, there in london im in the north east, the value of the item i have is around 500 and theres is simular, now im wary of been done, she gave me this link and said it would be safe for us both to post with royal mail

say for instance i sent item and she said she never received it trying to do me, would insurance cover me from royal mail, even if they had signed for the delivery.
