I gave away my old chest freezer the other day for free. Nada! Nothing!

The tt who collected it had the fking cheek to tell me it had some scratches on it and it was dirty on the outside.

"fk you! It's fking free you over-sized tt! It's works. It's an old chest freezer. What did you fking expect!?! A 17 year old freezer to look like new!?!?!?!"

What an utter cock. rage

You mean you didn't leave a bottle of bubbly in it, with maybe some flowers and some money in it as well?

I'm hardly suprised at the said freeloaders response then.
Make some effort next time smile

No....an expats forum where I live.

Just as bad. Some of the free-loaders on there beggar belief.

I detest giving stuff away to these people. It's mainly students studying abroad who take the free stuff, but they always complain when they take it.

Only reason I decided to do it again was to save money on disposing a freezer. You have to pay about €30-€50 here! (Numbers vary from person to person and I haven't done all the research yet).

Well I put our double sofa-bad on Freecycle and a lovely lady and her teenage son came to pick it up, were very grateful and made me pleased that I bothered to pass it on, as I really think they'll get good use out of it.

Glad I had some faith in human nature and didn't believe that everyone is an idiot

Plus I would never have managed to get it out the house on my own!!

It was probably more like:

"Bumsen Sie! It' s, das frei Sie übergroßes tt bumst! It' s-Arbeiten. It' s eine alte Kastengefriermaschine. Was tat, erwarten Sie bumsend!?! Eine 17 Einjahresgefriermaschine, zum wie neues auszusehen?!?!"

ETA - whoops, expat forum. Just how inaccurate is Babelfish anyways?

Good rant, short, to the point, includes numbers AND name calling, and uses a word not generally written (Nada).

9.5/10. Well done.

Not quite....just a moderate "ps off!" from me, in a sarcastic tone.

Mum wasn't involved.

At least he took it and didn't ask for help taking it down to his car.

i'd be inclined to offer them a discount, say maybe 10% off.

"but... it's free?"

"yes... yes it is..."

If you are in the West Midlands try phoning Birmingham City Mission. They will pick up large items including electrical, safety check them and then make them available to people who are genuinely in need. We've donated loads of stuff to them.

Like some of the other posters we got tired of trying to do ungrateful people a favour.

I am sure there are similar organisations around the country.

Perhaps you should have offered to buy him a new one instead of giving him your old stuff for free..
