Shaking my wallet out and an 1888 Queen Victoria Canadian 5 cent coin fell out . I have no clue how it got there . A quick Google shows values between £20 -£140 . The last person in the family that went to Canada was my grandfather in the 1920s .

If its really in as poor a condition as the photos show (heavily worn and the detail difficult to make out) even the bottom end of that bracket is hopeful IMO.

It is pretty worn but it's 138 years old !
It will go in the box of family memories, along with WW1 medals and photos ,dog tags ,dads medals and military papers.

I wasn't decrying it, your post references values as if you were looking to sell.

I have some £20 notes from the 60s and the value of those varies massively from a clean one, to one have has a crease in the middle for example.
