Another problem with on-line deliveries for me. I wanted some outdoor garden furniture and this looked the best value, I try to use Amazon where I can because of the protections and customer service compared to ebay. (this was a market place seller but its still usually good). It actually turned up the day before it was due to and when I got home the box was sitting on my drive, I did think it was a bit small for everything and fair enough it stated on the box that it was 1 of 2 packages and the 2nd package may take a couple of days to turn up.

A few days went by and still nothing so I emailed the seller through Amazon after a week and they said it would be with me shortly, nothing after another week so I put in a refund. This is the messages though Amazon.

The second message they sent acknowledges the refund request but then goes on about an attached image which I cant find, maybe amazon has deleted it but does that sound like they are trying to get me to close the refund request and scam me. Also they said keep the 1st box but what am I meant to do with half a garden set, they need to come and get it.

Only seen it this morning, my gut instinct tells me its a scam though. Has anyone else had it resolved this way?

Edit, : just replied saying no image present.

edit again, at least they are prompt with the messages, scammier than a scammy thing, they must think I'm stupid.

Should I forward the message on to amazon or just wait and see what happens, its was £360 in total.

Years ago I bought a £100 trampoline which was a 2 man delivery and arrived with the bolts and hardware missing. Amazon offered a 20% discount if I accepted it and bought the nuts and bolts myself. I priced them up at £55 on Screwfix and £68 at B&Q, so I asked for a replacement. Replacement came and they said to keep the old one.

Over the years I've replaced the pads, springs etc with the first trampoline.

I would get Amazon involved and a refund.

This it getting crazy again. Timeline of events so far.

23rd April order placed through Amazon with delivery date of 28-29th April, marketplace 3rd party seller so no prime.

27th April box is outside my front door so a day earlier that expected but says box 1 or 2 on the front. (no emails or texts or anything to say its delivered.

Nothing else arrives for a few days, then Amazon shows it as delivered on 28th, no mention of partial delivery or extra box.

2nd May still no 2nd box so I message the seller, they get straight back to me saying problem with Evri and give me a tracking number which just says Evri are expecting the package (as in not picked it up yet off the seller) so I give them more time.

10th May, still no different on the Evri tracking so the 2nd box obviously doesn't exist, I'm guessing they are drop shippers and cant get hold of it so are just fobbing me off for as long as possible.

12th May after a couple of messages back and forth the seller refunded me and its now in my bank account, it was all rather painless really and straight forward so problem solved.

13th May get home this afternoon and the 2nd box is outside my front door. What now, I feel tight on the company, I've got a brand new patio set and the £360 in my bank, why did they give the impression they were trying to scam me when they clearly weren't, it must have been Evri's fault all along. Why not message and say look we don't know what's going on but we will get to the bottom of it for you as soon as we can, why just refund straight away, is it because Amazon hammer them if they don't submit straight away.

So do I open the boxes and put it together, it could still be crap and I may want to return it anyway, tell them to come and get it, try and pay them again and then ask for a refund yet again if it is crap. Nothing is ever simple.
