I had a 30 day eSim before with Lyca and after a few months I didn't need it anymore. A simple matter of turning off the autorenewal on the app. Done and Dusted.

Got another Lyca eSim by accident last November. My fault as I put Lebara eSim into Google and clicked on the first link and before even registering, I was the owner of another Lyca eSim.

Nevermind, I needed it for the 100 minute calling abroad included.

On the app it says that I have a 30 day contract that officially ran out a month after I bought it.

I let it autorenew until 2 months ago when I didn't need it anymore.

Mmmmm, the cancel autorenew button isn't there anymore, I can't cancel the credit card on the app and their infuriating ChatBot is clueless.

I called customer services but couldn't understand a word that the girl on the phone said. Garbled stuff about contract, 14 day cooling off and saying that the mobile number (that they supplied) wasn't recognised.

I've sent countless emails to customer service and complaints but have only had one reply that was basically gobbledygook.

I got Barclaycard to do a block, who have done so but have advised me to cancel the contract hehe

Meanwhile I'm getting daily emails from Lyca, from a do not reply email address, telling me that I owe money and that they will get creditors involved.

So far, we are only talking £5.00.

Also the amounts that they did take from my account were always a few pennies more than the £5 monthly.

Others have mentioned the same. Enough to individually not get bothered about but if they are doing this to all their customers, they must be making a mint.

So unsure where to take this now. Any ideas.

Cheers.

Try Ofcom.
I had a similar issue with iD mobile. Was sold a SIM card and told incorrect information by the seller. After a few threats from them I contacted Ofcom and detailed the issues I was having. They sorted it out pretty quickly and I ended up with £30 compo. Some of these phone companies are bloody robbers!
