Vinted and Ebay authentication services.
Discussion
Recently sold some Nike Trainers on eBay. I knew they were genuine, but obviously there's a lot of fakes out there. And I felt it was worth doing it to help buyers and aid the sale.
Over £60 the authentication process is automatic. And you pay a flat fee of £8.95 for 2 x postage and the verification.
I boxed them up, sent them to their verification centre in Ruislip. Then they verified them as genuine in a couple hours, I got a text saying as much. They re-boxed them and sent them onto the buyer who got them a day later. Worked really well. And seller is apparently happy at his end too.
Bit of a wobble with DPD at first LINK but lets be kind and put that down to Christmas disruption.
Would use again and would recommend.
I suppose some of the VERY VERY good fakes from China might slip through (I think StockX have fallen for fakes in the past) but as these aren't being used for actual athletic purposes. Its probably not the end of the world. So long as they are visually the same
