Greetings card debate
Discussion
Not a member of any other forums so looking to try and settle a debate/gather some general consensus here….
Do you sign a greetings card (be it birthday, wedding, condolence etc etc) from you and your other half, or just you? (To someone your partner doesn’t know)
For context - other half sent a wedding card to one of her friends, not a close friend, nor someone that I know, and just signed it from herself. I found it a bit odd, she didn’t seem to agree as “I don’t know the recipients”

I think that's odd.Do you sign a greetings card (be it birthday, wedding, condolence etc etc) from you and your other half, or just you? (To someone your partner doesn’t know)

Not only do cards have to be from both of us, but we each have to write our own name - which I also think is odd, but just do as I'm told!
It wasn't until fairly recently (I'm in my 50's) that I learnt that women actually read the verse inside the card. I didn't think anyone read that, I know blokes don't. Now when choosing a card for the wife I have to read the verse first to see if it's appropriate, which they never are. Thankfully lots of cards nowadays are completely blank inside, which is pretty much how I feel about the wife sometimes!!
