After a quick snoop on Google it seems this has happened many of times before, however trying to find out if anyone else has been in this situation and what was the out come…

Sold a phone on eBay Saturday night, buyer paid as usual and eBay were holding the money, dispatched the phone Monday morning via Royal Mail track and recorded. 1 o’clock this morning get an email from eBay to state they had cancelled the order as the buyers account was no longer on eBay and not to send the phone was on the list of things they had suggested not to do, even though prior to this eBay’s message was dispatch before Tuesday 25th🙄 I have contacted eBay but just wondered where I stood with it all? Surely eBay must be able to do something with this and it’s not as easy to scam people like that?!

My understanding is that they buyer has paid though and eBay are just holding the payment. Surely you'd get that after a few days regardless of the chap cancelling his account.

For future never overlook cex

Sure you don’t get the best price, but I’ve always had a good experience with them

Pre kids I would sell my phones second hand on gumtree, but I can’t risk a looney these days
