Why do so many places insist in using the vile stuff in so much food ,sandwiches, burgers etc .
Turns everything into a sloppy mess all with the same background taste .
Apart from hating the taste and sloppiness I'm allergic to the stuff .
So much stuff comes with relishes, sauces coleslaw etc ,all the stuff that many of us cannot tolerate
Asking not to have it on our food when ordering is often ignored and causes grief when the order is returned.

Afraid to say that the word 'many' is not appropriate. Fact is, the vast majority of people not only tolerate it but actually like it. That's why so much stuff comes with it.

I feel sorry for you but that's the hand you've been dealt and it's not like anyone's forcing it down your throat, is it?

I'm with you. I absolutely hate the disgusting crap....annoying how nearly every pre made sandwich is smothered in the crap. Totally overpowers everything as well.

I was in wagamama the other day and I ordered hoisin duck bao buns to start......the waitress plonked them on the table...and would you believe it....they were smothered in bloody mayo. Mayo on a bao buns ffs.

Yes hate it too.

"You know what they put on french fries in Holland instead of ketchup?"

"What?"

"Mayonnaise."

Are you mayonnaise intolerant or you can’t tolerate mayonnaise, there is a significant difference.

You may be lactose intolerant, but can tolerate cheese’ it’ll just involve some serious and uncontrollable defecation later.

Personally I can’t tolerate ketchup, but I’m not intolerant of it, I’m a fairly open minded chap.

Must be linked to the restaurants you frequent and types of food you eat as almost nothing I eat comes with mayo. Tuna mayo about the only time I eat it, although western Sushi (which I don’t like that much) does seem to be smothered in it.

Slightly odd (specific) rant by the OP.

It's oil, eggs and vinegar. Which of these are you allergic to?

Oh far more than that, and especially in Belgium, although thick, rich, creamy mayo on top of fries after a few drinks is a given. There's a Friterie on many corners.

Not only mayo but usually ketchup, curry ketchup, mayonnaise, curry mayonnaise, curry mayonnaise with ketchup mixed in, aïoli, tartar sauce, cocktail Whisky sauce, American, Samuraï, Andalouse, Riche, Mexican, Orientale, Brazil, Béarnaise or Diablo. Plus all sorts of meat dishes if required...

There is something in mayonnaise and Hollandaise that sets off an explosive chain reaction in my colon.
It’s not an allergy but certainly an intolerance of sorts.
I’m ok with milk in tea/coffee etc and eggs so not sure what it is?

biggrin

You went to Waga, an Asian Fusion chain restaurant - of course it's going to be w@nk. The only good thing about Waga is the uniformity, much like going into a McDonalds/BK/KFC/Premier Inn/Travelodge.
