Who’d be on your league of goodies and baddies that we currently see on the world stage? I wanted to think of the top 5 but ended up with 6….

Goodies:-
Bill Gates
Zelenskyy

Baddies:-
Trump
Musk
Putin
Xi Jinping

All being men of a certain age. I am disappointed by the imbalance!

Pale and stale too. White privilege preventing other ethnicities from being bad
[ not in the Michael Jackson sense of bad ]

Khamenei and Kim Jong Un do their best.

Living in the west its not going to be surprising if white people make up names on both sides of the list, given that the countries are predominantly white.

Few rise to the top being good. What even is the definition of good? To most of us, not putting others at risk, putting others first, having others best interests ahead of your own. No one in any position of power fits that. They would all (rightly) send others in to war if needed, if rich have put themselves first etc.

What you are really looking for is utterly evil lunatics and general self serving but more or less ok ISH people. but as time goes on and people like to vote for or support "personalities" the lunatics are taking over the asylum.

What never fails to amaze is that entire countries, millions or billions of people, are willing to put themselves at the whim of largely unpleasant little men who you wouldn't share a train seat with, let alone subjugate yourself to their (lack of) vision.

There's some really strange disconnect going on somewhere.

I dunno if it's because people think politics is some distant land they can never reach, or they actively want someone to impose things on them and don't really mind what it is.

if you crave power as many of the people mentioned above then maybe, just maybe you don't have to be a dictator. maybe all you need to do is give the people what they want.

we don't know how trumps four years will pan out but he's not in it for the money (multi billionaire already), so maybe it is the power, or finally in his later years he's decided to actually do what should be done and give something back and be remembered as one of the greats (?).. getting rid of illegals, looking at Govt spending, cutting out DEI, ousting MEN in women's sports, also saying about wars we don't want to get involved in where American soldiers die (something ive wondered for years, theyre fighting because so and so has the wrong type of beard. fk em their problem not ours, its all work out in the end) and this is just the start.

The democrats are totally lost. if you didn't see their DNC election meeting it's worth a look on YT. absolutely hilarious and very sad at the same time.
some attached here (got to 2.57 for particular lunacy)

UK PM take note, if you want power just do what the public wants (no, not those ones, the British tax paying ones) and you might get voted in again next time. at the moment, well, when hell freezes over.

Surely the correct answer.
