My father had a fascination with them and created a collection.

I know he paid for some and found others.

Trying to work out if they have any value at all ?

No real knowledge I'm afraid but my mother collected a few.
The ones with the glass ball stopper always seemed the most desirable.
But I got the impression they were a bit like stamps, in that most were fairly ordinary but, and this is the tricky bit one or two could be pretty valuable.
I would guess age would be very important, as in the older the better.

Maybe try using Google Lens to search, particularly where the bottles have legible writing.
