Despite doing well academically at school I always struggled with spelling, even though I’ve always been a keen reader. I have definitely improved through practice (I have always had to write a lot for my job) yet I can still get tripped up by some words (as evidenced by a thread I started this week!)
One thing that hasn’t helped is the mix of US and British English. I am sure I accidentally use US spellings in British English documents/emails.
How about yourselves? Any particular words that catch you out?
PS: misspelling the title was deliberate- I’m not that bad! ;-)

Not really. My grammar is terrible though. Largely self taught as we just didn't cover it at school.
No idea what a noun is, let alone a past participle, is that even a thing?
Out of curiosity what year were you born? Early 80’sNo idea what a noun is, let alone a past participle, is that even a thing?
I was not taught grammar either

I learnt about grammar when I taught myself German.
