I would be worried about my paintwork if they were holding an industrial jet wash close enough to my car to touch it.

Is it not just a DIY jetwash with a contactless payment thing on the machine. So you don’t have to go into the shop and buy tokens or whatever?

My take on it too.

Not a drive through thingy offering a contactless wash.

Going by the Costa cup next to them, those are some really small signs, how are people supposed to even read them driving past?.

I'm guessing you have this as a stock-in-trade answer when anybody says: "What do you make of...?"

I'm the same!

First time I have said it, on this forum anyway!

I have also used various lines from Pretty Woman, "Where is your wife?", "With my ex girlfriend", "Oh, are they shopping together?"

(I'm not gay)

McDonald's are a decent enough employer although the hours can be long but good luck with your application!

It could be advertising a contactless/touchless car wash.
We have just had one open in Rugby.
Its basically an automated car wash that applies a snow foam type product and then rinses it off.

This is what I think it is, but whoever has been made to commission the sign has misunderstood what the contactless element is about, so have put a debit car type image

This!

The sign shows a contactless payment, so I assume you tap your card and it takes a few quid off you to use it. Which is quite handy.
