My wife has a Mulberry handbag and the paint is pealing from the handles. She'd had it repaired once by a place up in Newcastle, but within a year it's happened again and even though the work is under warranty, they want to replace the handles at her cost.

She's reluctant to send it back to the same place, so I'm looking for recommendations of anywhere that we can send the bag off to for repair?

Thats a coincidence, my wife also has a large black Mulberry hand bag with wear on the handles. I will take a look at the repair services.

The Valet, Piccadilly Arcade, London
Leather repairs and colouring are a speciality of one of their chaps, Tom.
Known mostly for speciality shoe shines and patinas but does excellent work on any leather goods.

Decent leather specialist is your best bet

I would have expected better from mulberry. For contrast, one of my wife's Prada bags had a spot where she wondered if it was aging or a wear spot. So we took a photo, emailed Prada to see.

Email response was "when is a suitable time for us to collect it?"

The arranged DHL to collect it, had one of their craftsmen look it over, wasn't anything of c9ncern, then they cleaned it, but it in a new dust bag, and sent it back.
All atvtheir expense.
