This is a fairly niche request, but wondering if anyone uses this 'option/service'?

Over the years I've slowly built up a small collection of customised RayBans - somehow on holiday a couple of weeks ago two pairs went missing. God knows how, possibly nicked from the wall between balconies. Anyway, point being as annoying as it was I resigned myself to having to buy them again.

But, for some reason I can't seem to be able to 'spec' the same ones again.
For example one pair I had were matching blue sides and front......but having looked again they've stopped offering the blue on the front, but the sides can still be blue. I'm wondering if I'm being an idiot, or have they really decided to stop offering blue as an option on the front but still available for the sides? Would that REALLY be a thing?

Any my other pair I seem to be able to get the same side/front spec, but they've decided to stop offering the lenses I had? Again I'm wondering if I'm being an idiot, or have they really decided to stop offering a certain lens?

Anyway, this might be too niche, but maybe someone else has noticed this and I'm not going mad, RayBan are just being annoying?

Can't help, just surprised to learn you can customise them. I bought my one and only pair from a shopping mall straight from the display case. Is customisation an online thing?

Yeah it's the middle of the top bar of the homepage: https://www.ray-ban.com/uk

It's a bit of a rabbit hole, be warned.....I was briefly up to 9 pairs I think, easy to get carried away! (20% off at the moment!)

Whilst we're talking about glasses. Does anyone else have wonky ears? Maybe just me, but one is slightly higher than the other, so rigid styles like Wayfarers can unfortunately look uneven on my face.

I don't wear prescription glasses, just sunglasses so never visited an optician. Would an optician customise the over ear bits to compensate? Is that part of the service when being fitted for regular glasses?

Suppose I could wrap tape round it or something.

Good question - I also wear normal glasses, but it's been a LONG time since I actually had new ones 'fitted'. And back then I was a lot younger and was wearing malleable frames, so no idea what they do with rigid things like Wayfarers.

I wear wayfarers and the opticians in the past have warmed the arms over a special glasses heater and then bent them to fit

I don’t bother now as just buy prescription raybans online and don’t appear to have such wonky ears anymore

As above, heating them is normal when making glasses fit better. Most people have slightly wonky ears, thin metal frames are simply bent, the thicker and more rigid plastic ones are heated to soften them, bent a little, and then it cools rigid again.
