Amazon order delivery date changing with name
Discussion
There are 4 of us using one Amazon Prime account, all at the same address.
I wanted to order a watch charger (£8.99). Delivery was listed as next day. When I went to checkout - it still showed next day.
But - the default recipient is somebody else in the house. As soon as I change it to me - it removes priority delivery and only gives me an option of delivery on Monday. I don't have any other delivery choice.
In the end, I left the name as it was and simply changed to my payment card - which left the delivery as tomorrow.
Anybody know why it was doing that? I know it could be because it's under £20, but that was still true when the name changed (and I've not had it happen for other items I've ordered under £20).

In case anybody else suffers this, I've found the reason. It started happening on several items and it was getting a bit annoying having to order stuff with other people's names.
In the list of delivery addresses (same house, different names), my address didn't show a county. Everybody else's showed Hants.
Ironically - when I looked at the address details, none of the others had actually input the county (optional field). I had - as Hampshire.
It seems this confused Amazon delivery - it didn't seem to like Hampshire as a county.
Now I've removed it, my delivery dates are back to behaving normally.
Something must have changed at Amazon since that's been my delivery address for about 18 months.

That's a bit crazy, you'd think it all calculated on the postcode.
It's surprising how crappy some of Amazons systems are really. I have had issues with them charging the wrong card. I have my credit card as the default payment option, but if I change the address to my parents it changes the card that it uses despite the alternative card not being designated as the default for that address.
