Whilst I can spend days browsing their website I'm after ideas & suggestions for products & solutions that won't necessarily change the world, but maybe caught you by surprise by how useful &/or practical they turned out to be for you . . .

So my main living space is rented & about 5m * 3.5m so a reasonable size. It has a small fridge freezer, a Small Double bed with drawers in the base & a large built-in storage locker which slopes (as I'm in the eaves of a typical Victorian house conversion.)

I recently bought a couple of freestanding 2*2 Kallax cube storage & a 4 cube tall Kallax. I have a few useful inserts for them.

A recently purchased Fjallbo TV/Media unit compliments the TV well & I love it! Also have a Poang chair & may get a matching Poang footstall to compliment

Aside from storage - whilst there are a couple of shared kitchens I prefer to use my own portable induction hob & a combi microwave/oven/steamer. I may replace the single induction with a double at some point.

Anyhoo - what products from ikea caught you by surprise & regularly in use. Not just storage but any space-saving bits 'n bobs for a kitchen & living area, lighting etc etc

Over to you lot . . .

Oh shall we keep the budget ideally well under £100 per item with a bit of creep ?

Kallax units are brilliant. Loads in our house.

The ziploc bags and food clips are used in abundance too.

Heading there next week to get some pegboards for the kids to keep their nerf guns on!

We love the Kallax units for storing clothes in and of course Billy units for CD's and DVD's

These little cable clips are really useful to stop the UCB and lightning cables falling off the back of my desk.

Duh...obviously.
Aside from that...Tradfri bulbs mainly. But I usually end up buying something else from their smart home range whenever I go. I'm drawn in like the Man isle in Lidl.

Love the clips!

The £1 milk frother works well. Get a cheap moka pot too and you can make very nice coffee without a big fancy machine.

If you want to go a bit design-y the Varmblixt lighting range is cool (the orange donut is part of it):

Best thing in ikea is the koncis roasting tray.

2 of the small ones fit side by side in the oven.

The IKEA Smart eco system of switches, remotes, lights, sensors and more lights is very comprehensive and only a fraction of the cost of the likes of Philips Hue. IKEA is so cheap that I buy smart stuff just to try it out and if I don't need it then I have 365 days to return. Get tyhe hub and it works with Alexa.

The IKEA collection of USB cables and charges is also very good.

We have plenty of Kallax/Expedit - even have one in the hallway so we have two bins each, one for shoes, one for gloves/scarves/hats.

The Vinstyrka air quality monitors are good, £35 for a proper PM2.5 / temp / humidity / tVOC meter that you can add to Home Assistant.

The Skadis pegboards are great and if you have access to a 3D printer there's a world of useful things to print for them.

Often stock up on rechargeable batteries (Ladda) - I think they're still made in Japan, likely out of the same factory as Eneloop. Great batteries either way.

The resealable sandwich / snack bags are great quality and pretty cheap. In kitchen/homeware anything I've bought or looked at in the 365+ range has been excellent for the money.

Great for storing shoes and going out doors stuff.

Can find a space the hallway, cloakroom or behind a door and provides a shelf for keys and stuff.
