Denim Jeans for everyday use
Discussion
I need to replace some of my jeans and would like to know where to get good everyday jeans and I want the non stretch material, unfortunately almost all the jeans I saw recently are with the stretch material which I dont like
I'm after straight leg regular type of jeans for work and casual use

Primark do a huge range of jeans in the £10 to £15 price range,
The quality is great, although personally, i prefer the stretch ones, but they have plenty of non stretch too.
I've paid £80 in the past, and they don't seem any better.
Thanks will check them out, last time i went it was all stretch type thereThe quality is great, although personally, i prefer the stretch ones, but they have plenty of non stretch too.

If you don’t want stretch, then you want selvedge.
Do you remember back in the 80’s when you put on a freshly washed pair of jeans and it was like an ironing board? We would have to wear them a couple of times to “warm them up” and for them to become flexible. Well we lost that with the introduction of elastic materials.
Selvedge brings us back to those days.

Stretchy jeans are amazing. They bring the comfort of joggers/tracksuit without looking like a chavvy bellend.
As for sources of less comfortable stiff jeans, John Lewis, Next, M&S, Vinted, Amazon, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda etc. basically everywhere but you'll have to check labels for elastane and discard those.

Primark are my go to for jeans. Used to be a Levis man but Primark are better quality and a nicer fit. Straight leg, button fly, I prefer the stretch but non stretch are available. And a great range of colours. The quality is great, although personally, i prefer the stretch ones, but they have plenty of non stretch too.

I'll give another vote for Primark too. Since covid they have got more expensive, I remember buying a pair for a fiver from there, doesn't seem that long ago.h0b0 said:
Oh, that's odd. Perhaps they stretch over a period of several wears. I know my own selvedge jeans had zero give and felt like they were made from wood when I first put them on.
You can get no stretch no selvedge jeans too. I'm wearing wrangler at the moment, which have neither from tkmaxx £35. They do lee as well.To clarify, selvedge has nothing to do with wether the jeans are stretchy or not, it's just the way they're cut from the cloth

For good quality jeans that are relatively inexpensive then you can’t go wrong with Edwin.
Tempted to try Edwin. Can I ask, how is the sizing? Accurate, vanity sizing? Most 34" waist jeans tend to fit me. But that's because they're rarely 34"... Bought a decent non-stretch 34" jeans from HebTroCo and if I've been drinking too many beers that month I can't do them up
