Dull Men's Club (on Facebook)
Discussion
Probably says more about me than anything else, but on Facebook I've started getting constant recommendations/posts to do with this group over the last month or two. Seems a busy group actually - 1.3M members, multiple posts a day.
(There's also a Dull Women's Club as well I notice).
Mentioned it to a couple of colleagues (also in their 40s) and they said similar experience of late. Anyone else here been deemed potentially 'Dull' by the Facebook algorithm?

Yeah, my algorithm seems to have picked up both the men's and womans dull clubs. Also seems to have picked up lots of video shorts on women in stockings too. Not sure where this stuff stems from. The algorithm is broken.
Are you saying you're not a dull man that likes woman in stockings?JimbobVFR said:

Are you saying you're not a dull man that likes woman in stockings?Yes & 41 here. I find some of the topics on the blokes one mildly interesting i.e. in depth thought about random things like Excel Formula, why some things are engineered they way they are. The women's version of the dull club is just women posting selfies of themselves and no depth like the Men's club.

Me too!Surely there's a Chrome extension or something that makes FB more useable? I did use FB Purity but it doesn't seem to make much difference these days.
What's the purpose of the women in stockings shorts? To get you to join their Only Fans?

I remember when my Facebook feed was only filled with my friends' posts.
Ahhhh, those were the days!
I find the default Facebook feed pretty much pointless, full of nonsense that I'm not interested in and haven't asked for. However, there is now a Feeds tab where you can choose to look at a Feed of just your friends' posts, or of groups you're a member of, or pages you follow. Swapping between those gives me less spam and more of what I'm interested in.Ahhhh, those were the days!
I saw a lot of posts for Dull Mens Club recently, and some of the stuff is actually really interesting, so I joined with the hope of seeing more interesting stuff
Facebook is now, for me, a business directory and local news/information.

I rarely see anything posted by friends, because they rarely post anymore. The only friends stuff I see is from the 2 or 3 remaining 'look at me' people now in their 40's and 50's who still post about absolutely everything like it's still 2007. Holiday photos, new car, restaurant, pictures of their dinner, and so on... No one cares or comments on it. I have no idea why they still post.Ahhhh, those were the days!
