Even though your own personal experiences are outside their own knowledge or understanding, there are some that will say it didn't happen or that they do not agree with your interpretation.

I live in an area where there used to be a stone circle.
Don't know if that is relevant but, every now and again there will be a loud "hollow" bang in the house as if someone has dropped a large book on the floor. But nothing has moved and all the windows have been closed. I live by myself so no one else could have made this noise. Is totally random, could happen today or not for months....

Could it not be contraction or expansion of some part of the house structure, perhaps the joists, with a temperature change?Don't know if that is relevant but, every now and again there will be a loud "hollow" bang in the house as if someone has dropped a large book on the floor. Had a best mate as a nipper. We grew up together, went to the same infant and primary school and lived a few doors apart. His family then moved about a mile away and we ended up going to different Secondary Schools and lost touch with one another. No reason, just different lives.
Fast forward a few years. I'm 18 and in the pub and bump into my mate. It's like we only saw each other yesterday. We end up meeting up for a few beers, going to watch some racing at Brands... basically picking up our friendship where we left it years back.
A few weeks later, I'm in London having a lunchtime pint with another mate when I get this almighty pain running from my shoulder to chest. Oddest pain I've ever felt. It was painful but didn't hurt - like I was feeling someone else's pain. My mate asked if I was OK as I'd gone white as a sheet - had to sit down. Less than a minute later - all fine. Weird.
When I get home that evening, I find out that my other mate who I'd reengaged with had died - at lunchtime, of an aneurism in his chest.

This happened one night a few years ago.
I have a fairly cheap little wooden night stand next to the bed, with 3 drawers that can be removed from the unit completely. One night me and my partner both heard some sort of noise (perhaps a bang or knocking sound, can't quite recall now).
We both woke up, kind of startled at the noise and discovered that 2 of the drawers from my bedside cabinet were now on the floor and lined up in front of the night stand (all of the contents still inside the drawers, ie watches, junk etc) with the dog fast asleep right beside them.
No idea how it happened, never happened again, just weird. I assume if the dog had gotten them out by some chance the contents would have been disturbed.

If you’re proved wrong on this then that itself would be worthy of this thread. Even though your own personal experiences are outside their own knowledge or understanding, there are some that will say it didn't happen or that they do not agree with your interpretation.

I love reading the stories on threads like this until it turns nasty, which is what usually happens.
All good so far but it’s early days…
I'm currently renovating my place and for a bit was staying at my mums as my place was a building site. Doing all the work myself. Hadn't been to the property in a week as I'd been busy. Went in and got to work. Went to the workbench where the screwdriver set I needed was. Picked it up and under it there was some black material I didn't recognise. On inspection it turned out to be a balaclava. I have absolutely no idea how it got there and it isn't the exactly sort of thing I wear. I am sure there will be a logical explanation for it, but so far I haven't figured it out. Nothing else seemed out of place, however, so I haven't thought much of it since. I'd still like to understand how it got there though.
The day after Niki Lauda passed away we were sitting in the garden and I was telling Frau GenX about his career, particularly around the events of the "Rush" film which we had watched relatively recently. She is not a big F1 fan and so was surprised that the film had been based on real events.
Anyhow we went out for half an hour for some reason I don't recall and when we got back we found the telly had somehow switched itself on and was showing a channel featuring an old interview with Niki Lauda...
Also a week or so later I was flying in to Stansted and a Lauda Air plane was parked on the next gate. Not so weird but still a coincidence.

A few years ago I was lodging in a house for a few months due to working away. The landlady one evening had made a load of pasta and left it in a tub, “help yourself” she said. She went out that evening so I was there by myself.
A little while later, I was sat in the other room, eating some pasta when I heard one hell of a bang from the kitchen. I went in and found the large serving spoon on the floor, with pasta sauce thrown all over the counter about 8ft away. Given I’d left the spoon in the tub directly above where it landed, I couldn’t work out how so much sauce had ended up so far away.
Anyway, the next day I mentioned it to the landlady. “Oh that’ll be Valerie”, she said calmly, “she’s the resident poltergeist.”
I don’t really believe in the paranormal or ghosts, I usually see the scientific explanation for everything but on this occasion, I just couldn’t come up with any sensible reasoning why one spoon falling off a worktop could possibly create as much mess as this. It was if the spoon had been used to launch sauce violently across the kitchen.

The trouble is, some people will invariably use their personal experiences to try and tell the rest of us that the laws of physics that govern the universe were temporarily suspended during the episode. I hope I am proven to be wrong. I used to cycle to school. My route took me past the end of my Nan's road. On my way home one afternoon, passing my Nan's road, I suddenly felt light headed, sick, like I'd been punched in the guts. I knew something was very wrong, and I had the immediate feeling that my Nan had died. I rushed home, to see all my relatives cars outside our house, except my Nan's.
Convinced I was about to receive that bad news, I approached the house up the pathway and my Mum came out to me, she was in pieces. It's Nan, isn't it, I said. She's dead. My Mum's face fell even further, turned even whiter. No she said, it's your Dad. He's been killed in an accident. All I could think was to ask her "where's Nan's car then, everyone else's cars are here!". My Mum says Nan's been sent to my school to pick me up by car.
Utter confusion reigned for both of us, a very weird experience. I was convinced she was wrong, and my Dad was fine, and my Nan dead. Took me a while to process it all and it really added to the trauma of the event I think. Gives me shivers and makes me well up thinking about it now, 38 years later.

The other week I went to the crematorium to put some flowers down, and I commented to my wife that it was nice to see some of the ducks waddling around the place, quite funny to watch them and made it feel tranquil.
I got home and later that day there was a duck outside my house. Never seen a duck outside of house before. Funny.

I lost my stepdad to the big C about 13 years ago. The last birthday present he'd given me was a very nice Leatherman tool which I cherished. A number of months after he passed away, I lost it. I looked everywhere and I mean absolutely everywhere for it over a period of weeks. It was nowhere to be seen and I was absolutely gutted. I loved that tool and it obviously had huge sentimental value.
When mum was sorting out his estate she offered me his sailing boat. The boat was his project, and was out of the water in a boatyard where she'd sat for 10 years, looking very green and sad for herself, but he'd done a lot of the major jobs before his illness. But taking on a project like that was a big commitment. But it would be lovely to finish her off an get her sailing again. But a big project...the boat was Solent based and I lived in the Midlands for a start. I had weeks of deliberating it...and at one point when driving along in my car I said out loud "gah...I don't know if I even have the tools I'd need to take on the project".
It was fair to say that when I looked at the passenger seat of the car and saw the missing Leatherman sitting there right in the middle of the cushion I nearly had a very very large crash...
Needless to say I launched her a few months later and I sailed that boat down to Cornwall, the Channel Islands, France and well over 3000 miles of weekend sailing and holidays over the next few years...

I think the reason they end up bad is the stories tend to fall into 2 categories.
Weird, strange, creepy encounters that actually happened.
Ghosts.
It would be nice if the supernatural element could be in a separate, as although they are both creepy - the two options above are very different.
It generally becomes carnage when someone says they visited a psychic/medium and they told them things they could not have possible known without being magic, then people tell them how they actually did it, and all hell breaks loose.
When I was a teenager my mum had a friend who used to ring most evening & they would talk for ages.
Mum was out one night & her friend rang late evening.
Next morning I told my mum her friend had rung late last night.
Mum looked at me a bit strange and said couldn't have been she committed suicide yesterday early evening.
I can feel the chill that ran down me now.
Subsequently turned out it was the poor ladies sister & they had very very similar voices.
