I know they are not the same thing, but close enough.

Daniel Finkelstein in the The Times.

Sensible, rational, intelligent, insightful. Always good to read.

She has a brilliant turn of phrase, reminds me of Charlie Brooker.

Quentin Letts (political sketch writer in the Times).

I'd sacrifice a limb to be able to write that consistently humorously.

Janet Daly (columnist in the Telegraph).

Cuts through a topic to its core like a scalpel.

Sherelle Jacobs from the Telegraph.

Weekly column, full of deep insight and usually offering a counterpoint to the prevailing view. Excellent research, thought and writing.

I admire Sir Max Hastings - anywhere, on whatever subject he chooses.

On the other side of the coin, I can't be doing with Matthew Parris, who I think is so 'wet' that I almost have to dry The Times in front of a fire before I even approach his stuff.

Interesting, as I listed Matthew Parris as somebody I enjoy reading.

I often feel the need to wash my hands throughly after reading Simon Heffer and some other columns in my in-laws' Telegraph!

Yes, but this about people you adrime.

Not people you somewhat predictably don't.

Chris Hope from the Telegraph - although more for his podcasts than his written output. Good interviewer, interesting guests.
